11 Dec 2008 - Jimmy Jam: Time for a Reunion Legendary music man Jimmy Jam is all about reuniting. The super-producer, songwriter, and famed keyboardist, born James Harris, told EURweb.com that he is currently finishing up a new album with the Time and also spoke about another reunion – one with his good friend Janet Jackson. Jackson, who’d worked with the team of Jam & Lewis for over two decades, but for her 2008 “Discipline” disc, Jackson chose not to have the duo contribute, a choice some fans and industry-ites thought unwise. However, Jam shrugged it off.
“We’re not perfect,” he said of the Jam & Lewis team. “We don’t always make the right decisions. We’ve done records in our time, luckily not many, but we’ve done some that weren’t the best records to do. We went into all the records with good intentions though. You don’t go into it saying, ‘Ooh, I’m going to make a bad record.’ You go in to make a great record. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. We had mad records together for 20 years and she decided to go a different direction and I applaud her for it. I want to see her successful in whatever she does.”
Jam said that Jackson certainly doesn’t need to do anything; that a new project with them would simply be a want, as is with both the pending and possible discs.
“I think she’s anxious to do some work. And [The Time] is back together because we want to be together, not because we need to be together,” he said. “If we collaborate with Janet again, and by the way, I never thought that we wouldn’t collaborate again. Just because you work with another producer or decide to go the other way, that that closes the door of the possibility. We want to work with her and I think she wants to work with us and if that all happens, then that’s what we’re going to do.”

Call off the bump watch: Janet Jackson, 42, is not pregnant.
Reports picked up in the New York Daily News and on PerezHilton.com are not true, Jackson's boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, 36, tells Usmagazine.com exclusively.
"Does Perez know that lying destroys the credibility of a blogger?" Dupri quipped to Us on Sunday.
Rumors began to swirl after Jackson canceled a string of tour dates in October due to a mystery illness.
Still, that doesn't mean Jackson and Dupri aren't excited about starting a family in the future.
“I’d love to have children,” the singer has told Us. “It’s just up to Jermaine, what he wants to do.”
Jackson also spoke about motherhood in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine.
"Everyone tells me that there will never be a good time, that I will always be busy, but I just think when the stars are aligned it will happen," she revealed.
As for Perez Hilton?
The blogger tells Us, "I didn't say that Janet was pregnant, but if or when she is, I am sure she will make a great mother."

22 Nov 2008 - FCC appeals Superbowl case to Supreme Court According to Associated Press the Federal Communications Commission has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the indecency case over Janet Jackson's performance at the 2004 Super Bowl.
The FCC this week appealed a ruling by the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia, saying that court was wrong to throw out the case and a $550,000 fine against CBS Corp. in July.
The appellate court cited the FCC practice of not considering objectionable images indecent if they are "fleeting."
In Jackson's halftime show at the 2004 Super Bowl, which spawned the case, she briefly flashed a breast as she performed with Justin Timberlake.
The FCC said the court incorrectly applied a rule — since changed — regarding expletives that required a profanity be repeated before it is deemed indecent. The FCC contends the rule didn't apply to images.
Reaction to the appeal was swift from the Media Access Project, which filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the appellate court on behalf of a group of TV writers, directors and producers.
"The impact of the FCC's decision on the creative process is very profound," said the group's chief executive, Andrew Jay Schwartzman. "The FCC's decisions in this area have made it very difficult for creative artists to exercise their craft."
At the time, broadcasters did not employ a video delay for live events, a practice that changed within a week of the game.
The FCC also has an appeal pending before the U.S. Supreme Court in a New York case involving profanity uttered by Cher during a December 2002 music awards show and by Nicole Richie during a December 2003 awards show, both carried on Fox stations.
The agency has asked the court to rule in that earlier case before taking on the Jackson incident.
